The
Madison-Ridgeland Youth Club Cheerleading is a community
organization that was formed in the fall of 2007.
Our girls cheer for the MRYC Football teams.
MRYC
Cheerleading is a non-competitive cheerleading activity allowing any girl
between the ages of 9-12 wanting to promote team spirit
to cheer. We want our
girls to take pride in what they do, have a great attitude
while doing it and to have fun when doing it.
Cheering promotes teamwork while staying fit
and when you put all of these ingredients together…. community,
spirit, pride, attitude, fun, teamwork, and fitness…. it builds
great character!
Football is definitely a better experience with spirit
groups adding positive energy to a game!!
MRYC
Cheerleading began in 2007 with great success and we hope to grow
to get as many active girls involved as possible in 2009. Please
see our photo gallery to view some of the action in past games.
Parents, if
you wish to review our Code of Conduct, Cheerleaders Constitution,
or if you would like to volunteer to be a squad leader, you will
want to go to our Forms section. Each leader will be required to
have a background check to ensure the safety of our children in
this activity.
The MYRC Jamboree is slated for
September 26, 2009 at Madison High School. All squads will be
cheering and pictures will be taken on this day.
PRACTICES
After
the Cheer Clinic, it will be up to the
individual squad coaches to decide if/when their squad will
practice before the games begin in late September. Sometime in
October the girls will start practicing their dance/cheer routine
for the championship game on November 16. They will practice
Sunday afternoons leading up to the championship game. We will have between 4-6 practices depending on
how quickly the girls learn the routine.
Please let
us know if you have questions. The e-mail address is spirit@mryccheerleading.com.
